In today's The PITCH- writer Justin Kendall reports that- according to a story at MarketWatch.com- downtown KC-MO's Folger's coffee plant is slated to be closed by parent company J.M. Smucker in 2012.
The MarketWatch story did NOT mention which 2 of it's Folger's plants are closing- but reports Smucker "plans to cut 15% of its workforce, or 700 full-time jobs, by 2013 as part of a broad plan to consolidate its coffee and jam production."
Hmmm- I guess like my brand of skydiving parachutes- I'll switch to Maxwell House ... it's "good to the last drop."
