For the fourth time today there's a shooting reported- this time in Independence- and it's not all that far from where the woman was murdered in a home invasion last week.This call is in the 14900 block of East 44th Street- near the intersection of 44th & Phelps- where fire and 2 AMR-EMS units were sent around 2:10 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Police were apparently already there and surrounding a house in that block and- at 2:44 p.m.- staging fire and AMR-EMS units were asked to move farther away from the scene by police.
So far- AMR hasn't transported any victims from that scene and police aren't giving out any other information yet.
