Oklahoma Quake Felt in Kansas City Metro
According to the USGS- a magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred just after 11 am CST in N.W. Oklahoma.
The quake was felt over a wide area of the Central States- including Metro K.C..
A check of the Web sites of several of the larger cities' newspapers in the Region- including Tulsa- did not reveal any reports of damage or injuries shortly after noon Saturday.
Today's quake was the strongest recorded in Oklahoma since 2011.

Breaking: Man Shoots Up A KC-MO Northland Apartment Complex
KC-MO Police have a man in custody after receiving reports of shots fired and a possible shooting victim Monday afternoon.
The call originated around 3:15 pm- and emergency agencies were sent to the 1500 block of Northwest 38th Street- according to PD and FD/EMS radio reports.
This is at the fairly-new 'Landing at Briarcliff' apartments and PD dispatch reports the caller to PD said there "were numerous shots fired in another apartment."
Police arrives around 3:25 pm- then quickly take a male into custody who PD says "fired numerous shots" randomly prior to PD arrival.
Other officers are told to "check surrounding (apartment) buildings for possible victims" or damage from the man's random shots.
PD reports at least one vehicle suffered gunshot damage there.
As of 3:55 pm- there have been no reported injuries via EMS transport in this incident.

BREAKING NEWS: Armed Robbery of Max's Burgers- 8240 Wornall- KC-MO Reported by Police
At 3:02 pm- KC-MO PD dispatched Metro Zone patrol cars to "an armed business robbery" at "8240 Wornall- Max's Burgers."
Suspects initially reported as "two unknown (race) males" who "left westbound on foot" from the scene.
No reported injuries or other information reported.

BREAKING NEWS: Man Shot During East KC-MO Carjacking
KC-MO Police- fire and EMS units responded at 1:54 pm Sunday afternoon to a reported shooting- armed robbery and carjacking at 39th Street and Emanuel Cleaver Blvd..
The driver of "a silver" vehicle was reportedly shot by a "black male."
The shooting victim was transported to an area medical trauma center in at least serious condition.
BREAKING NEWS: Fire Crews Called to "Sibley Power Plant" in Far Northeastern Jackson County MO
The alarm was dispatched at 1:37 pm- and the location is "33200 East Johnson Road" in Sibley.
Fire crews from Fort Osage are being assisted by Liberty- Central Jackson County and Sni Valley fire crews.
At 2:01 pm- 2 additional fire companies requested from Wellington MO in Lafayette county.
At 2:12 pm- even more fire department help was requested from Orrick MO..
This appears to be a working incident.
According to a source- the fire was in a "tall coal-containment structure" at the Missouri River KCP&L plant.
As of 4:00 pm- no injuries had been reported and the fire was reportedly under control.
Raytown MO Apartment Building Fire Results in One Dead- At Least 2 Injured
A fire that broke out in the 2 o'clock hour Sunday morning in an apartment building in central Raytown has claimed at least one life.
The involved structure was in the 9800 block of East 60th Street at the Somerset Village Apartments.
Within minutes after arrival to the scene- Raytown and KC-MO firefighters pulled a woman and 2 children from an upper-floor apartment in the 3-story building.
Suffering serious to critical burns and smoke inhalation- the three victims were transported to area medical centers where one of the children died.
That child has been reported to be 5-years-old- according to other news media reports.
Firefighters also narrowly escaped serious injury when interior floors of the building began to collapse during searches of the building for more victims.

The flames were then fought from outside the structure.

As of midday Sunday- fire investigators were still trying to determine the cause of this fire- assisted by police investigators since a fatality was involved.

By Monday afternoon- the adult injured in this fire had passed-away.
It was later determined that the fire began in a bottom-floor laundry room trash can..
