T
he self-genocide of the Kansas City MO African-American population continues...

Four scenes from east-central to south-central Kansas City have been combed by police investigators where one person was killed and at least 3 others critically-injured.

The homicide scene is in the 2600 block of Poplar and that call came in about 1:45 a.m..

There are yet no details on a victim nor any possible suspects.

Less than 10 minutes later- a shooting was reported at 69th Street and Brooklyn.

There police and EMS found a male who had been shot in his mouth and neck.

His condition was critical as he was rushed to a Metro hospital and again there was no suspect information.

CSW Editorial: November Showdown on Earnings Tax Will Keep Heat on KC-MO 'Clowncil' Priorties

Kansas City MO's water and sewer lines are breaking almost daily.

KC roads are in horrible shape.

KC's crime rate chases potential residents away.

Yet- we have hundreds of MILLIONS of dollars to put into new arenas- rebuild corporate sports stadiums and build new areas for people to get wasted in (KC Live).

Kansas City MO's City "Clowncil" can't get their priorities straight whether to spend money on glitzy projects or wisely spend money to improve the city's day to day infrastructure.

So many ask- why give that Clowncil any MORE money to blow?

In November- Missouri voters will get to vote on the earnings tax in Kansas City and St. Louis.

I'm hearing an increasing number of voters say that they plan to disallow a continuation of that taxation without representation- just to show corporate-friendly Missouri politicians how disgusted they are with continued welfare given to corporate interests while the same pollys want to increase taxes and fees to make up the difference.

CSW will be watching closely over the next few months just how Kansas City pollys dole out those shrinking taxpayer dollars (bet you don't hear A THING until after November about any taxpayer-subsidized KC convention hotel).

Latest Metro Corporate Welfare Request: Great Mall of the Great Plains Developer Seeks 10-Percent Sales Tax

I
t seems wealthy real estate developers and owners no longer invest their OWN money in projects- they want welfare from battered taxpayers.

If the developers of The Great Mall of the Great Plains gets their way from Olathe politicians- a 1.5 cent raise in sales tax would be added on to purchases made at or near that south Olathe mall.

The sales tax rate in Olathe is ALREADY 8.65%!!!

The KANSAS CITY (MO) STAR says that TGMOTGP owner Great Olathe Center LLC wants the sale tax increase to finance a reconstruction of the mall property- and if approved- sales tax at TGMOTGP would top a whopping 10%.

When are city officials in the UCSA going to quit giving away the tax base to wealthy developers?

63rd Street Bridge Now Open in Raytown MO

I
t took more than 8 grueling months for contractors to finish the 63rd Street bridge over railroad tracks just east of Raytown Trafficway.

On August 1- traffic was allowed on the bridge- although work relating to the new structure and roadway remained to be done.

CSW cannot confirm rumours that if Raytown MO city officials had been entrusted with building the Egyptian pyramids that those pyramids would STILL be under construction....

Central States News: Emporia KS Fair Board Says "No Changes" After Fatal Crash

L
ast Saturday evening- a 17-year-old Shawnee KS teen was killed in Emporia during a 'mud-a-thon' competetion at the Lyon County Fair.

Hannah Deaver was killed when one of the trucks taking part in the event lost control and crashed atop the back of a pickup truck where Ms. Deaver was sitting.

(Photo courtesy of The EMPORIA (KS) GAZETTE)

Another young woman was also injured in the crash and- unrelated to the crash- a 19-month-old male toddler fell "10 to 12 feet" from the fair's grandstand shortly after the crash occurred.

On Monday- the Lyon county fair board of directors said there wouldn't be any changes in admissions or viewing areas open to the public- until NEXT year.

I imagine changing those things NOW- after this fatality crash- would be saying the fair's officials/decisions were wrong and put the blame of the fatality crash squarely in the fair board's pocket.
