KANSAS CITY'S WEATHER: More Snow

The National Weather Service (NWS) has the K.C. Metro- and MetroRegion- under a "snow advisory."

Contrary to popular belief- a snow advisory does not mean a visit by political candidates- but a prediction of 3 to 5 more inches of the white stuff by midday Friday.

Bless You With The Holiday Lights

I've been meaning to say this to the people who live in those festively-coloured houses we pass by during the Christmas season:

Thank You!

The displays tell me those who share the beauty of those lights also share the beauty of what this special time of the year means.

It's not about religion really- I'm an agnostic.
I know it comes off as really corny if not simply idealistic to think- and dream- of Peace On Earth and Goodwill Toward Men.

Dreams are what reality is made of- so don't think anything if the guy in the blue van pulls up to park briefly- watching your beautiful lights.

I'm dreaming with you if for a moment.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Credit Card Debt Looms As Negative Financial Factor

The Associated Press is full of bright (heavy sarcasm) financial news today.

Here's an article on America's credit card debt- and how defaults on card payments could make the mortgage crisis look like a single cloud on a sunny day.

Oh- I too am open 24 hours for your spending convenience... HoHoHo!

AP: Government Needs To Do More To Avoid A Recession

In case some of you haven't noticed- our economy is in the tank. Prices rise daily yet income remains the same- or with what raises we DO get are eaten up immediately in higher energy costs in everything we buy.

Some "experts" claim the government needs to do more to keep the economy from tanking- according to this Associate Press article.

Lord help us if a few corporate types go down with the economy- most the rest of us have already started down that slippery slope with not even a piece of twine in sight.

Merry Christmas.

<><><> OVERNIGHT WEATHER <><><>

The clouds that sleeted and snowed from 2 to 4-inches over the Metro Saturday rapidly swept out of the MetroRegion early Sunday morning. Up to 10 inches of snow fell in areas from near Topeka to St. Joseph Saturday.

Winds eased from a west to southwest direction as temperatures fell into the upper single-digits to mid-teens urban areas.

Average temperatures will keep much of the snow cover on the ground for Christmas. A weak storm system skirts the area late Christmas Day and early Wednesday- then a stronger storm system possible by late Thursday and/or early Friday..
