The crash happened minutes after 7 a.m. this morning at the railroad crossing on 135th Street west of Holmes (just east of Jess & Jim's Steakhouse) in the old Martin City community of southwestern KC-MO..
A small car apparently did not yield to a train at the signalled crossing there- and the car's driver was killed instantly- according to a MAST-EMS paramedic.
Police are not yet releasing the identity of the dead driver and CSW condolences to the family and friends of the victim as well as the witnessing train crew.
