Bottom Line.Com is Bottom-Line. WRONG About Thursday Morning's "Rolling Disturbance" in KC-MO

A
local blogger posts about a news story this morning covered in the local news media but covered FIRST here at CSW: the shooting of 2 men in a moving vehicle (that crashed) in northeast KC-MO's Blue Valley area.

The writer at bottomline.com questions The KANSAS CITY STAR's use of the term "a rolling disturbance" regarding the incident.

The writer then should question the KC-MO Police department- for the "rolling disturbance" term is EXACTLY what an officer at the scene used.

I know this for a FACT as I worked the incident from the initial 12:34 a.m. dispatch and the officer told me that exact term- "a rolling disturbance."

Too bad I wasn't 'called-out' as well- but the writer probably doesn't read CSW or he MIGHT have thought twice about posting his diatribe

What WASN'T exactly correct were the terms the writer states WDAF and KCTV news departments used to catagorize the shooting.

"Person Shot in Head After Rolling Gun Battle" said 'DAF and that's incorrect as 2 people- both men- had been shot in their heads.

KCTV's "Rolling Gun Battle Ends with 2 in Hospital" was wrong in that there was NO indication that the 2 victims had done any shooting back at the suspect's vehicle.

Sure The STAR makes mistakes- we ALL do sometimes.

Just make sure you attribute the 'mistake' to the correct entity before you go flaming them.
