A kitchen fire in an apartment in the 10600 block of East 42nd Street forced residents of the building to evacuate at midnight Thursday morning.Five companies of the KC-MO Fire department and 2 MAST-EMS units responded.
The fire was declared under control about 15 minutes later.
There was no one found in the involved apartment- and none of the other residents received any reported injuries.
Temporary accommodations were necessary for the occupants of the unit with the burned kitchen- unknown on any others.
