Sunday Morning KC-MO Police Pursuit Ends With Suspects Caught

The chase occurred in Midtown KC-MO just after 5 a.m. Sunday morning- and it not only involved many KC-MO police cars- but also F.B.I. and A.T.F. agents.

The law(persons) were chasing a vehicle containing at least "3 black males who were heavily-armed and  wearing body armor-" a source told CSW.

It happened in the areas of Armour and Paseo (where a police vehicle was damaged)- Virginia and Forest between 33rd and 45th Streets and speeds were reported at "60 m.p.h.."

Along the chase route- the suspects were reportedly throwing weapons and/or other unknown items from the vehicle

The chase ended around 45th Street and Virginia just after 5:15 a.m. when the suspects crashed their vehicle- bailed-out and ran.

All 3 were apprehended within a block or two of the Virginia crash-out location.

A KC-MO Fire department EMS crew was ordered about 10 minutes later for a "traumatic injury" suffered by one of the suspects.

That "traumatic injury" was to the "35-year-old male" suspect's "face-" and it involved "fractures" and "lacerations" and all my source can say is that "it wasn't caused by the crash" of the suspect's car- so I'll leave the speculation how the man's face got battered up to you.

We're awaiting a statement from a Federal official on what this chase and arrest of the suspects was all about.

I was wondering what was going on! An awful lot of scanner chatter for 0600 on a Sunday.

Thanks for the update--so glad the cops got their men. :)

It was VERY noisy!

Oh T.O.- if you didn't happen to read between the lines of the suspect's injuries- a KC-MO EMS paramedic said the arresting cop gave the guy that "serious facial trauma" after the chase.

Not that it matters- eh?
