Central States News: TULSA WORLD- Leon Russell Gets His Due From ... Elton John

Elton John credits Tulsa-based rocker Leon Russell with much of the inspiration John got to enter the rock 'n' roll world in the late 1960's.


However- Mr. John hadn't spoke with Mr. Russell in about 35 years.

Elton made contact with Leon- and the two men have made a duet recording that was to be released today- according to The TULSA WORLD.


Leon will also perform with Elton John when the latter appears for a show in Tulsa November 12 at Tulsa's BOK Center.
