O
verland Park police report that around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning- two occupants of a car died in a crash near 151st Street and Glenwood in the old Stanley community.

A citizen who heard the crash ran outside of his house and attempted to pull the 3 occupants from the crushed and burning car but only managed to help one occupant out- the citizen burning his hands in the process.

Two of the occupants were dead by the time fire and MEDACT-EMS crews arrived.

The 3rd occupant was taken to a hospital in serious condition and the citizen was transported to a medical facility for treatment of his burned hands.

OPPD hasn't released any names of the injured and deceased yet.
