It happened Monday morning when 3 children who were walking to school were gobbled up by a sidewalk collapse.

A 12 to 15-foot section of the sidewalk in the 800 block of South Fort gave way while the 3 kids were on it walking to a nearby elementary school- according to KOLR TV10 in Springfield.
None of the kids suffered serious injuries and were pulled from the hole quickly by witnessing adult bystanders.
At least they HAD a sidewalk....
