Radio station KFDI and The WICHITA (KS) EAGLE report that 4 people have died on the Kansas Turnpike (I-35) near the Belle Plaine service area.
Around 5 a.m. Monday morning- a SUV went northbound from the service area in the southbound lanes of the Turnpike and struck a southbound minivan head-on.
An 18-wheeler then struck the rear of the minivan.
The driver of the SUV was killed- along with 3 occupants of the van.
The 18-wheeler driver reportedly had "minor injuries."
The KHP is investigating the wreck.
