Earlier today American time - 2,000 naked men and woman participated in a series of photo shoots in and around this 'liberalized' (certainly by Puritanical American double-standards)Holland city - that I know at least one Texan holds dear to his heart.
For those wanting "companionship" - there's an established "red-light" district (do NOT try to take photos there!).
You can smoke your joints and have your drinks in the bars there.
Do NOT drive afterwards - they come down (and rightfully so) very hard on even first-time offenders.
From friends I've chatted with in Holland - the very stiff penalties are justified they think. These friends are people in their 20's and 30's.
Jack and Louise impressed upon me that their government assumes the citizens a greater freedom in return for the citizens' greater responsibility.
Of course that is also higher taxes. They have universal health care for their people.
What American city would allow all that much less 2,000 naked people to converge in one place for non-explicit-sex photographs?
