* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
MIAMI COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS
WESTERN CASS COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI
* UNTIL 130 PM CDT FRIDAY
* AT 718 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
SLOW MOVING SHOWERS AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY
RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNING AREA. DOPPLER RADAR AND LOCAL
OBSERVATION STATIONS HAVE REPORTED UPWARDS OF TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL
ACROSS CENTRAL PORTIONS OF MIAMI AND WESTERN PORTIONS OF CASS
COUNTY. THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS FALLEN THIS MORNING ALONG A LINE FROM
PAOLA...TO LOUISBURG...CLEVELAND...AND PECULIAR.
* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
BELTON... HARRISONVILLE... LOUISBURG... OSAWATOMIE... PAOLA...
PECULIAR... RAYMORE... CLEVELAND... DREXEL... FONTANA AND FREEMAN.
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL BETWEEN ONE HALF AN ONE INCH IS POSSIBLE AS
SEVERAL BANDS OF HEAVY RAIN MOVE OVER THE WARNING AREA.
