Police report that Ephrem Merrit-Esquivel- 43-years-of-age from Kansas City- was found in an alley in the 6200 block of East 11th Street around 1 a.m..
Police were not saying how Mr. Merrit-Esquivel died and had no suspect information.
Just before 3:45 a.m.- 29-year-old Andre Steele was brought to Research Med Center by a friend after Steele had been shot at 69th Street and Prospect.
Mr. Steele died at the hospital.
Again- police had no suspect information in this murder.
