The "32-year-old male" victim had reportedly "been shot once in the chest with a .357-magnum" and had a "gaping" exit wound out his back near his spine.
This was after a reported shooting Wednesday night at 7:27 pm in the 3500 block of Independence Avenue.
The victim's injuries were critical- police didn't initially issue any suspect information and- as far as I know- Kansas City's news media didn't report this story.
