As hard as it is these days to get good candidates into teaching- some school districts take little to let go those who are already in.
The Shawnee-Mission school board fired science teacher Ryan Haraughty over an off-hand remark he made to students during a geography lesson- according to the story from The KANSAS CITY STAR.
Many Mission Valley Middle school students skipped class to protest the move this morning.
The S-M school board apparently doesn't watch much TV- listen to music- teens talk- etc..
What Mr. Haraughty reportedly SAID to get him fired wouldn't even get him a PG rating anywhere else....
