The VERY controversial widening of Red Bridge Road in south KC-MO is slated to get underway "possibly as early as (next month) December"- according to today's story in The KANSAS CITY STAR.
In addition to widening Red Bridge from 2 to 3 lanes from Holmes to Blue River Road- a new bridge over the railroad tracks and the Big Blue River in Minor Park is coming as well.
Bidders for this project came in more than $3-million less than the $15-million cost engineers originally attached to the project that was initially protested by hundreds of south KC-MO residents.
