Just after 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning- the Olathe woman who was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of I-35 near the Southwest Boulevard exit in Kansas City KS slammed into a taxicab driven by Muhudin Sheikh Nur of Kansas City.
The fire department was called to cut both drivers out of the vehicles with extrication equipment- then paramedic units rushed both to the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Mr. Nur- who had suffered severe injuries- particularily to his chest and lower extremities- later died at K.U./MC.
The Olathe woman who had hit his cab suffered serious- but less severe injuries- and the Kansas Highway Patrol tells CSW that she's suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.
CSW offers solace to Mr. Nur's family and friends who are mourning his untimely passing- and PLEASE folks- don't let ANYONE you know and/or love drive drunk this holiday or any other season.
