Tropical Storm Hermine To Affect Texas Gulf- K.C. MetroRegion

An area of low pressure in the western Gulf of Mexico south of Brownsville has intensified into Tropical Storm Hermine.

TS Hermine is forecast to intensify before it makes landfall somewhere near Brownsville TX on Tuesday.

In addition- the remnants of Hermine is forecast to continue northward- and affect our weather here in the Kansas City MetroRegion by Friday.


Interests along the Texas Gulf coast from Rockport southward should maintain a close watch of TS Hermine for the next 24-36 hours- as a Hurricane Watch has just been issued for the South Texas Gulf coast from Baffin Bay southward to northern Mexico.
