Severe Storms Possible in Metro- MetroRegion K.C. Later Today

Here's a look at the latest NWS Doppler radar from Topeka- showing a small area of showers and thundershowers- a few with locally heavy rain- entering the Metro from the west and southwest.

More- and heavier activity is expected to develop across the entire K.C. MetroRegion over the next 6-8 hours- possibly producing severe weather and a chance for a possible tornado or two.

Torrential rainfall is also a threat.

So far- no watches or warnings anywhere in the MetroRegion- but that situation could change rapidly over the next few hours so please- keep an eye on the sky and your favorite information sources for the latest weather information.
