KANSAS CITY'S WEATHER: Storm Chances Still Good

If you will refer to the link to the NWS-SPC HERE- you will see a rather odd configuration of the areas included in a "slight risk" of severe thunderstorm from now until 7 am Friday.

Now- the northern half of the MetroRegion is in such a risk area.

There is a line of thunderstorms north of the K.C. MetroRegion (click on satellite-radar images below. This line is moving generally south to southeast- if these storms hold together (new ones may well develop ahead of this line)- they could be into our area by sunset.
