CSW BREAKING: Garage Fire Heavily-Damages Raytown MO Residence

Firefighters from the 2 Raytown fire stations are cleaning-up after a house fire in the northern part of that Kansas City suburb.

The blaze broke out just before 12:15 p.m. Monday afternoon in the garage of a house in the 5500 block of Lane.

Five companies of the KC-MO FD also went to assist the RFD- when the first unit of the latter arrived T 12:17 p.m.- they reported "2 cars in the garage" ablaze at the house.

Three handlines were used on the flames- which were under control about 15 minutes after the first fire truck rolled in.

No injuries were reported in the 90-degree (outside) heat- and the Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced occupants of the home.

The cause is under investigation.

Busy firefighters today in this heat! Also fire on 43rd St and the partial building collapse in the west bottoms. Hot!

Incidentally, has Grandview changed its frequencies? They disappeared from my scanner!

Indeed on those other incidents T.O.- plus there was yet another earlier fire out this way in the morning I didn't catch.

Grandview probably went to the new 700mhz frequencies that I don't have yet.

Don't be surprised over the next month or two that KC-MO goes silent on their present system too.

All in the name of truly bogus "security" concerns that I won't go into here because it pisses me off to talk about right now for what it will do to my biz.

Okay T.O.- I found the solution to Grandview and am receiving them again here.

Same radio system as last- but enter these new frequencies:

852.46250 852.71250 853.06250 853.31250

All the talk groups are as they were before BTW.

Thanx for the heads-up too my friend! ;)

Did some poking around and found that out--someone noticed that they made a new app to the FCC and was kind enough to put it on the net.

Thanks for following up and confirming the info I saw.

It would be a pity to lose KCMO--better entertainment for basically free you will not find!
