The KC-MO Police department issued a pick-up for a male suspect "in a homicide that just occurred in Lenexa near 87th Street and Lenexa Drive" at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
A "47-year-old woman" was shot and killed in a construction zone- according to Lenexa Police- and that the shooting "didn't appear to be a random" incident.
It was later determined that the woman was shot and killed by her "estranged husband-" who was later found dead of an apparently "self-inflicted gunshot" in KC-MO..
Police and Johnson County sheriff's deputies closed Lenexa Drive north of 87th Street for almost 10 hours after the shooting.
