Spring Begins With 3 Homicides in Kansas City MO in Less Than 8 Hours

Around 9: 45 a.m. Sunday morning- a man was found shot and killed by his mother in the bedroom of her son's house in the 4000 block of Benton in Kansas City's East-Midtown area.

The man was 34-year-old Keith D. Williams police say- and there was no suspect information.

This is the 3rd KC-MO homicide in less than 8 hours.

The other 2 murders- reported first in Kansas City here at CSW- happened within 30 minutes of each other and were unrelated.

The first occurred at a vacant party house in the 2600 block of Lawn about 5 minutes before 3 a.m..

Three males were shot there- one of them died later at a KC-MO hospital.

Police had plenty of witnesses- reporting "50-60" people at the scene when they arrived.

The 2nd homicide occurred around 3:15 a.m. when unknown person or persons shot into a car containing 2 men around 8th Street and Charlotte in the northeastern Downtown Loop.

The men managed to drive themselves the about mile and a half south to Truman Med Center's emergency room (ER) where one of the victims died and the other one declared "critical" condition by police.

There are no suspects in custody in either of those 2 killings either in the deadliest Sunday morning of 2011 in Kansas City MO..

If I happen to be up and it's particularly outstanding in some way, I frequently muse on doings I hear on the scanner on Facebook.

Starting at about 0200 Sunday morning the thing went nuts, just nuts.

Not a good way to start the warm season.
