CSW BREAKING: Aircraft In-Trouble Enroute to KC-MO Downtown Airport

The 2nd aircraft emergency in less than 30 minutes- this time at KC-MO's Downtown Airport.


At 11 a.m.- this is reported to be "a twin-engine turboprop with smoke in the cockpit."

There are reported to be "2" people on board this airplane.

Standby fire companies- one manning the airport's lone fire rig- are on-scene waiting.

At 11:14 a.m.- the plane makes it safely to the ground on Downtown's north-south runway.

At 11:15 p.m. the Downtown airport was reported to be "closed" to air traffic until the target plane made it to an unused taxiway.
