House Burns in Pleasanton KS

The call came in for Pleasanton and other fire crews around Linn County at 3:27 a.m.- "the upper floor of a 2-story house engulfed in flames" at "7th Street and Center."

It was reported that a neighbor "knocked on the door" of the house on fire "as long as they could-" but couldn't get any response from inside.

When firefighters arrived at 3:35 a.m.- the "entire" house was burning.

It was only later that it was determined that the structure was unoccupied at the time of the fire- and no firefighter injuries were reported.

An investigation is underway.

From TOC to first UOS was only 8 minutes. For small volunteer dept. in the middle of the night that’s a very impressive time. As well I’m sure Pleasanton still has a lot of snow on the ground from mid-week storm. Good Job!

It was a good response time.

My daughter and her family lives near there- so that gives me a little peace of mind that Pleasanton's smoke-eaters are on the ball.

Enjoy this warm(er) week coming!
