CSW BREAKING: "Explosion" Reported at Business in Leeds Area of KC-MO

At 10:30 a.m.- five companies of the KC-MO Fire department on a reported fire "in a production facility" of a business in the 3800 block of Fremont.


When companies arrived at 10:37 a.m.- they report "one victim" of an "explosion" at that facility- but apparently little or no fire.

A chief on-scene reports "one wall- blown out" by the explosion "of an unknown cause" with "one patient being treated for burns."


According to KC-MO FD-EMS- the victim is "a 53-year-old male who was thrown for a ways by the force of some gas explosion- 1st-degree burns on his face- upper back- hair singed- 2nd-degree burns on his hands" and suffering vaious pains to his body.


The injuries were not life-threatening and he was taken to a KC-MO medical trauma center.
