With wind chill temperatures below zero- KC-MO and Southern Platte County fire crews have brought a house fire in the Northland under control at 1:31 p.m..
The alarm first went out at 1:17 p.m. for a house near the intersections of Missouri (M) 9 highway and Northwest Coronado.
Upon arrival at 1:21 p.m.- the first-in fire crew reported "smoke showing from a 1-story" house- and the first of "2" handlines were deployed on the blaze.
No one has been found inside the burned house- and no injuries- other than some house pets- have been reported.
No cause or damage figures yet available.
At 1:33 p.m.- West Peculiar fire fighters were called to a working house fire in the 20400 block of South J highway north of Peculiar.
The first-arriving fire crew reported "fire through the roof" of the 1-story structure at 1:37 p.m.- and help was requested from the Central Cass- Belton and South Metro fire departments.
It's a "defensive" firefight- or outside the structure- an occupant of the house was said to be "outside" when that first fire crew arrived.
Thus far- no injuries have been reported.
More on this fire if there is a significant development....
