Liberty Fire department companies were also sent to assist KC-MO Fire on what's reported to be a "2-story" house "with heavy smoke and fire showing" when the KC-MO battalion chief arrived at 10:59 a.m..
FD-EMS has dispatched 2 paramedic units on a reported "injury" at this fire- believed to be a possible occupant of the residence.
The lone occupant of the house- a male- refused EMS treatment or transport.
At 11:11 a.m.- firefighters on the 2nd-floor of the burning house were reportedly briefly "trapped-" but a"rapid intervention (RIT)" crew made it to the area quickly and brough the endangered crew to safety.
None of those firefighters are reported to be injured.
Three handlines were used on the fire that was reported to be brought under control at 11:29 a.m..
The house appears to be very heavily-damaged- no word on the cause of the fire as of this report.
