Pedestrian Struck- Very Critical Injuries in Independence MO

An "approximately 40-year-old male" suffered very critical head injuries when he was struck by a vehicle on Missouri (M) 291 in Independence early Saturday morning.


The incident was reported at 12:22 a.m. "between Hidden Valley Road and Gudgell" and the man was reportedly struck by the vehicle that was going "about 40-45 m.p.h." an AMR-EMS paramedic said.

The victim was in grave condition as he was being transported to a Metro K.C. medical trauma center.

No further information was yet available.
