A male is in critical condition at a Metro hospital after being shot in the abdomen during a disturbance at an after-hours nightclub in south KC-MO Saturday morning.

The shooting occurred around 4:10 a.m. in the 8100 block of Troost at a place called "The Apollo Club."

KC-MO Metro Zone police arrived to find the victim- said to be around 30-years-old- sitting in a car in the club's parking lot.

A 32-year-old woman was also injured- said to have been "stomped in the face" by an unknown suspect- and she was also taken to a hospital with her not life-threatening injuries.

Police detained  a number of people inside and outside the establishment for questioning- and had no suspect information to release yet to the news media and a curious public.
