Latest Snowfall Creates Traffic Issues in Metro K.C.

Although this morning's snowfall was generally less than 2-inches across Metro Kansas City- it still produced a number of vehicle crashes but no major injuries.

Crashes involving school buses in those districts that didn't cancel today occurred in the KC-MO Northland and South-Central- but no one was hurt in either of those 2 incidents.

A foot of snow has been reported in Emporia this morning by KDoT via Twitter- with "at least 8-inches" of snow reported east-southeast of Pleasanton in Linn county KS (thanx Cyn!) with around 8-10-inches in central Kansas around Salina.

Snow has also fallen over most of Oklahoma and parts of western Arkansas- where winter storm warnings continue through at least mid-day.

After a cold next 2 mornings with near or below-zero temperatures- a forecasted warm-up through early next week- with temperatures Tuesday at or just beyond the 50-degree mark- according to the latest NWS predictions.
