Groundbreaking Ceremony for New KC-MO South Patrol Police Station

CSW's live camera was at the groundbreaking of the new South Patrol and Special Operations police station near I-435 and Bannister Road this Friday morning.

More videos of this event are at the Capt. Spaulding's World YouTube page.

Speakers included KC-MO Police Chief James Corwin and Councilpersons John Sharp and Cathy Jolly.

This new South Patrol station will only be about 2-1/2 miles from the recently opened Metro Patrol station in the 7700 block of Prospect.

This new station will contain public as well as police facilities- which also included a "backup 911 center" according to the KC-MO Police press release.

Completion of the station is set for 2013.
