The southbound lanes of I-35 are closed at Antioch because of a shooting scene just south of the Antioch exit.
The incident was reported at 12:10 a.m. and it reportedly involved a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper on a traffic stop- according to a KSHB Action News photojournalist from the scene early Sunday morning.
It is not yet known if the trooper involved was shot.
One victim has been transported from the scene- described by a MEDACT-EMS paramedic as "a 26-year-old female with 2 gunshot wounds" to her upper body.
She was enroute to a nearby high-level trauma medical center in critical condition.
It's yet unknown if there are any other victims in this incident and southbound I-35 remains closed as of 2 a.m. Sunday morning.
