CSW BREAKING: Automatic Fire Alarm Response to KC-MO's Southwest High School Upgraded

Two KC-MO fire companies were sent at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday to Southwest High School at 6512 Wornall on a reported "automatic fire alarm- in a 3rd-floor boy's bathroom."

Before those companies arrived- 3 more companies were dispatched to the school on an "upgraded" regular alarm fire response.

The first company to arrive is Pumper 37 at 11:47 a.m.- reporting "nothing showing from the exterior" of the "4-story building-" then 30 seconds later reported "the fire's out" in that boy's restroom.

Oddly- the FD reports as 11:50 a.m. that students and teachers at the school had "not evacuated" the building.

No injuries are reported- but a fire investigator has been sent to the scene.

This is just one in a long string of disruptions at the once-proud school in the beleagered KC-MO School District.
