Metro Kansas City's BREAKING NEWS: Man Injured In Raymore-MO House Explosion and Fire

hat was reported as a man attempting to light a water heater has resulted in an explosion and fire at a house in the 100 block of South Frederick Lane in eastern Raymore.


South Metro Fire department units responded on the alarm at 5:20 pm.. Upon arrival- a fire was found on the back side of the structure- which had been "moved off the foundation" by the force of the explosion.

The fire was under control by 5:40 pm..

A "66-year-old man was seriously injured- with "3rd-degree burns to his hands and forearms" and lesser burns to his face and legs. He has been transported by EMS to the burn unit of a Metro hospital.
