As the story goes from The KANSAS CITY STAR- a motorcyclist was killed in east KC-MO after a chase by Independence Police when the cyclist failed to stop after a "traffic violation at Blue Ridge Boulevard and Westport Road" around 9:20 am on Indy's western border.
The IPD chased the cyclist to "17th Street and Ewing" where the cyclist was struck by "a flatbed truck" and the cyclist was killed.
Independence Police are widely known for their unrelenting chases of people refusing to stop even on the most minor of offenses.

Dumbass had it coming. Don't run from the cops. The cops didn't force him to drive fast and stupid. Don't blame the police for doing their jobs.
It's the "police's job" putting people in a heavily-populated areas at risk chasing traffic violators who refuse to stop?
Next you'll be telling me it's alright for police to discharge their weapons at people who don't immediately do what the police tell them to do- even it's bullshit.
Oh- just FYI- I've NEVER been arrested for anything- but have been threatened arrest by a wild-eyed cop at an accident scene I was helping out at and I've almost been run-over by a police chase.
Yeah- the too-powerful police ALWAYS are right....

Hey its the "police's job" to that! Lets say someone kidnapped your kids or something and they tryed to pull him over and he took off. Now would you like them to go oh well we will get him another day?
And it's that guys fault from running in the first place. How know maybe the guy was wanted for a violent crime. If he would have just pulled over and acted like a normal human being that wouldnt have happened now would it? He sould have sucked it up and take is punishment like a adult. But no he wanted to act like a jack a$$ and run.
Independence is one of the few police department that still do there jobs!
I can say this because i live here all my life and i have never had a bad run in with them.
And no you werent just at an accident scene were the cop just walked up to you and said im taking you to jail! You probley doing something that you were not supose to be doing like maybe being in the way...
