I heard the tail-end of the patient transports when I came "on-duty" at midnight- there had been a 2-car fatality crash at Missouri (M-) 150 and Smart Road in Greenwood.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Dept. report- a Chevrolet Trailblazer with 3 passengers that was southbound on Smart ran a stop sign and crashed into a Chevrolet Cavalier that was eastbound on M-150.
A front seat passenger in the Trailblazer- 17-year-old Tyler M. Fratzke- was killed. Another passenger in the Trailblazer suffered serious injuries.
All the other injuries were not life-threatening. The JXCo-SO said the drivers of the 2 vehilces were not injured.
