THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM CST TUESDAY.
LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVERNIGHT TONIGHT AND CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY AFTERNOON ACROSS PORTIONS NORTH CENTRAL...NORTHEAST AND EAST CENTRAL KANSAS. TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS WILL AVERAGE 2 TO 3 INCHES BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON...GENERALLY ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 70. THE SNOW WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF BY LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON.
CONDITIONS CAN DETERIORATE RAPIDLY IN WINTER WEATHER SITUATIONS- SLOW DOWN AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME WHEN TRAVELING. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES.
