As reported here on CSW- earlier this year Comedian Jerry Lewis announced that the 2011 MDA Telethon would be his last- but Mr. Lewis would remain as MDA National chairman.
In what appears to me as a VERY bad PR stunt by the MDA- it was announced yesterday that Jerry Lewis has been removed as it's national chairman- according to CNN.
Not only that- Mr. Lewis would NOT appear on this year's shortened telethon.

A FINE WAY (not!) to let Jerry Lewis say goodbye after his 40+ years of dedicated service to the MDA!
