Three Houses Burned in Midtown KC-MO Fire

Seven companies of the KC-MO Fire department battled a blaze that heavily-damaged 3 houses early Sunday morning.

The alarm sounded at 12:53 a.m. for a house fire in the 3000 block of College.

When the first fire trucks arrived at 12:55 a.m.- they reported heavy smoke and fire showing from a 2-story house.

Within minutes- the houses on either side had ignited.

Firefighters battled the flames with several handlines- and managed to bring the fire in the original house under control by 1:16 a.m.- but it was nearly another 30 minutes until all flames were completely extinguished.

No one was reported injured- no report on the occupancy status of any of the 3 houses affected- and an arson investigator responded to the scene with no report yet
