Metro Kansas City Shootings Leave 1 Dead- 2 Injured



The first shooting was reported in Olathe KS around 2:10 a.m. Sunday morning.

The incident was reportedly the result of an armed robbery of some people who were sitting outside the Marriott Residence Inn hotel at 12215 South Strang Line Road.

A male was shot in the arm by an undescribed male suspect- and was taken to a hospital in serious but not life-threatening condition.



The next shooting was at 3 a.m. at 38th Street and Broadway in KC-MO and this one was a homicide.

Police reported "2 black male suspects- ages 20 to 25" who "left in a blue- (Chevy) Monte Carlo with front end damage" shot two people in a vehicle near the Shell gasoline station there.

One male victim died at the scene.

The other victim- "a 20-year-old male was shot in the face" according to a KC-MO FD-EMS paramedic- and was taken to a hospital in serious to critical condition.
