CSW BREAKING: Fire in South KC-MO Duplex

A fire in a southern KC-MO residential structure is under control.

The alarm was first sounded at 2:55 p.m. for the fire in a duplex the 11300 block of Calico Drive.

Four pumpers and 2 ladder trucks responded- with the first company arriving at 3:03 p.m. to report "smoke showing." 

At 3:05 p.m.- Pumper 28 also reported "fire showing out the back patio door" of the structure."

Only 4 minutes later- this fire was reported under control.

At 3:19 p.m.- a firefighter is reported to have suffered "a sprained knee" at the fire scene- and was to be transported to a hospital by EMS.
