Last Friday's Camden MO House Fire Involved Fatality

R
eported first in Kansas City last Friday here on CSW was the fatality fire in the rural Ray County MO community of Camden.

Breaking out just after noon (not 1 pm as is reported in an "official" report provided by an anonymous source and again in the RICHMOND (MO) DAILY NEWS Online)- firefighters from Richmond- Orrick- Wood Heights and Lawson battled the flames at 605 Back Street in Camden before finding the owner and lone occupant of the house Clarence Baum, Jr.- age 87- in the debris afterwards.

CSW offers our condolences to the Baum family and thanks to the many paid and volunteer firefighters who fought the fire in single-digit temperatures and snow flurries.
