Just before 8 am- Franklin and Johnson County KS emergency services responded on a multiple-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 near Wellsville- the first exit southwest of Edgerton KS..At least 20 injuries have been reported along with at least 1 fatality as of 8:15 am and the crash is between Mile 192 and Mile 198 on I-35..
It's not known yet exactly how many vehicles are involved in this crash but at least "several" semi trucks are involved and JoCo Fire has requested "Haz-Mat" crews to this scene.
Weather conditions at the time of the wreck was dense freezing fog with low visibilities.
