CSW BREAKING: Three KC-MO Incidents: Fire- Burn and Crash



KC-MO fire companies are mopping up after a house fire in the 5300 block of North Kensington.


The alarm was sounded at 12:53 pm Wednesday afternoon- and when firefighters arrived they found a "working fire" in "the basement" of the single-story house.

Occupancy status of the house is unknown- but no one was found inside after searches of the structure.

The fire was declared "out" at 1:06 pm with no injuries reported thus far.

At 1:05 pm- MAST-EMS- Fire and police were responding to 3620 Warwick on the report of a child burned by an yet-unknown method in an apartment there.

The patient was reported by MAST-EMS as a Hispanic male infant- "who somehow had hot oil poured on him" and was suffering non life-threatening "2nd-degree burns on his shoulder- neck and chin."

The child was taken to Children's Mercy hospital and police were investigating the incident.
