Kidnapped New Jersey Man Rescued by Police In Lake Ozark MO



An alert convenience store employee and police in Lake Ozark MO are credited with rescuing a man Saturday who was kidnapped by 3 men in New Jersey Friday.


According to the story in The Jefferson City (MO) NEWS-TRIBUNE- Jeff Muller- age 59 of Newton N.J.- was kidnapped by 3 suspects "Douglas Stangeland, 46, of Nevada, Mo.; Andrew David Wadel, 21, and Lonnie Eugene Swarnes, 44, both of Rich Hill, Mo." outside of a pet store Muller owned in Newton NJ states the NEWS-TRIBUNE.

While in Lake Ozark early Saturday- the suspect's vehicle became "disabled" and they pulled into the convenience store's parking lot.

Victim Muller had loosened his bonds and attempted to escape the suspect's vehicle while in the lot and the clerk in the store witnessed the attempt and called police.

The three suspects were taken into custody and Mr. Muller was taken to a hospital for "minor injuries."
