Six Killed By Unusually Strong October Storm System In Midwest

The lowest barometric pressure I saw from this storm system was 29.08-inches as it rolled into the Northern Great Lakes yesterday. This is about as intense as low-pressure areas get in this part of the world.

In it's wake- six are dead in 4 states- one in Washington State- and more than 600 severe storm reports after severe thunderstorms and tornadoes raked the Mid-States Wednesday & Thursday- according to the Associated Press.

One Michigan couple who had just moved into their new house the day before died when a tornado destroyed it.

Another northeastern Missouri couple died when the mobile home they were in was destroyed by another tornado.

Damage is heavy in Napanee-IN after a tornado there injured 5 people.
